I’ve been around the block in many communities. I know very wealthy families- generally modox- in places like LA, Westchester, Baltimore, London, Antwerp... ect.
I give these communities lots of credit! They are very happy to shop in target and Childrens place. I have to say when we visit it’s embarrassing how overdressed and perfect us (generally poor) in-towners look .
Again, I’m not denying it. lots of us have a clothes obsession. I’m just defending the fact most people are NOT buying montcler coats.

Oh definitely. However the Lakewood fancy standard is definitely not originally from Lakewood.
