My manager just offered me to be AP manager and she would have me do some accounting work too. I have been by this company for 5 years and currently do some AP/AR and dabbled a little in accounting. I ha emy BS in accounting. I am happy with the possibility for growth but I do feel underpaid with the current job description. What would be the hourly pay for this new position?

I work for a nursing home management company. I make $60K working as an accountant 9-3, it’s around $42 an hour. I think the AP reps make around $40K and most work 9-3:30/4.

I make 23.50 from 9 to 4. I know that there are people with less experience making more then me.

With a degree in accounting you should be getting closer to $30 an hour (or more) especially with five years of business experience. If you Are based in New York or New Jersey you Can post under your screen name or send me an anonymous email address If you are uncomfortable I can respond and perhaps get you a job. I am in the accounting field and we have offices in multiple locations.
