FF, to be totally honest, I'll be satisfied even if it's something basically similar, even if lower quality. But I don't want it to be garbage or very obviously a scam. Can you please super sleuth the two items I bought? Pretty please??

I understand the desire to find things that are cute and affordable. As an artist and jeweler, I have another point of view though. I had some of my designs stolen, and then the thief reported ME as the one who stole the designs, and got my shop shut down on Etsy. She then proceeded to copy all the designs I had up until that time, and I lost thousands of customers and good reviews that were not archived. Not only that, I was banned from ever joining Etsy ever again.

Copies HURT hard working people. Mad

UPDATE: I just submitted an order cancellation request. Too much doubt. Oh well... Anyway, I got to share some pictures of pretty things I like. That's fun, too. :-)

Kiwi13 it definitely looks scammy. I say contact the site and ask to cancel your order. If they refuse to do so contact Paypal.

My final conclusion:

FF can shop for me ANYTIME. I have never considered spending 600 shekels on a shirt in my life, and now I want that purple felted ruffled vest,!

I recognize almost everything on this site. I'm concerned, because I have seen many of these items on Etsy, made by the original designers. Things like the embroidered coats usually go for $500 or more. I know because I have them all over my Pinterest wish list.

To do a reverse image search, just save the image to your computer. Then go to this page https://images.google.com.au/ . Click the camera icon in the search bar, and then upload the image. You'll get pages of images that match, or are a very close match. Then you can click to see if you can find the origin of the image. It only takes a minute.

The coat is just a crochet pattern. Identical photos.

I agree that things should be affordable, but artists are notorious for not paying themselves, and they rarely break even. Suppose you spent 60 hours working on an extremely important presentation for your boss, and he said "Great work! I'm going to pay you $1.25 an hour, because you shouldn't earn too much. Why can't you work for cheaper?"

There is a huge difference between being "inspired by", and blatantly copying someone's pictures or work and calling it your own. I get inspired by lots of things, but I don't make fraudulent claims, undercut other artist's prices, or do things in an absolutely identical way.

For example, I would love to have a custom made jacket or coat like the ones I see on Etsy. What I can afford to do though, is find a vintage or second hand coat, and buy some felting wool and embroidery thread. Maybe some fun yarn, too. Then I can work on it with my own designs. It will be a fun hobby, I'll have something to be proud of, and I can do a freeform style that won't be out of my skill set.

Holyclothing.com is called that because their workers actually have good conditions, and their products are well made and consistent. What you see is what you get.

Kiwi, I know it's not exactly as funky as what you wanted to order before, but they're big on the Renaissance/Celtic look. Maybe you'll find something there you like.

Good luck, but I did not have luck with a few PayPal complaints I filed after I received very inferior goods from obvious scam sites.
