I was in tech support originally then transitioned to programming. 10 years of programming mainly in Java, Perl (back in the day), and python. Iβve done some NodeJS here and there but itβs not a big part of my work. Corporate companies that maintain their own software.

I've been working as a programmer for over 35 years.
In college I learned COBOL, LISP, Fortran, Pascal, ADA... It was such fun.
I have been programming in C#/.NET/SQL for the last 10-15 years.
I absolutely love programming.
I've been working at home for the last 10 years way before Corona.
I've worked for defense contractors, major insurance companies, real estate companies. I now work for a 2 (wo)man operation as I near retirement.
B"H I've had a great run.
You'd be surprised how many times I've seen ads for COBOL programmers. Begging for them.
I would recommend programming to any young lady who enjoys math and sciences and is wondering how to combine work with raising a family.
