Since I was not sure exactly which forum to put this post, I have chosen this one.
Can anyone suggest any board games or other activities for someone who is elderly and has slight dementia but is "with it " most of the time. Until he turned 90 (nearly 2 years ago) he functioned perfectly in every way b"h but now he cannot read and sleeps a lot of the time but when someone plays board games and chats to him he is very happy. I would appreciate simple board game ideas or other basic activities that can be done indoors.

How about something othello or mancala. Both of these don’t require remembering from turn to turn.

Bingo works well. Many different types. With numbers, photos, etc.
