So, I've finally discovered the show "The Good Place", and finally got to the episode where the official song of "The Bad Place" is the Kars for Kids commercial song....and it was really funny, and I laughed very loud, which I needed to do.
I lived in NJ for 3 years, a long time ago, when that was on the radio constantly....
So, I'm sharing that here.

I work for K4K and that amuses me endlessly! I of course, do not have to be on hold and listen to it! Weirdly, some people LOVE it! I get it sung to me at least three times a day by donors! Also, the most ubiquitous ditty in the USA was written by a volunteer!

Kars for kids is a frum organization. When I heard that it is the song for the bad place as I watched it I was very confused. Why is it funny? I don’t understand the joke? Can someone explain it to me?

The song is an ear worm. It stays in your head for an annoying amount of time. It’s also likely one of the most well known commercial songs in the United States. It’s an amazing organization and I think being parodied is awesome! The last one I heard was on will and grace but they called it ‘trucks for tykes.’ It was clearly about k4k though. Also funny but actually better in the bad place.

I get it now. Because it’s kind of annoying to hear it all the time.

I didn't grow up listening to the radio so I never had the chance to get super annoyed at this jingle. But that reference was hilarious!
