My student is turning bas mitzva soon. I have worked with her individually for a number of years. I was thinking maybe it would be nice to get her a small gift. Or is that weird and out of line?
If I would get her a small something, what would you recommend?

It’s a very sweet gesture. You can get a small siddur with her name on it. They sell pretty ones. Or a bracelet- some stores sell them for like $20

If you teach her kodesh in would get a small seifer like tehillim. It’s not weird at all when you have a one on one relationship.

I actually don’t work with her on kodesh subjects. Would that make a difference?
