Not that I have the tools to create a button like that, but would you like that? Would solve the passive aggressive hug issue.
This way we have Like, Hug, or Dislike (and kindly explain why).

I would. For the reason you wrote above

Although, this is not a pressing issue by me, to say the least

It would be helpful, as long as it was not anonymous. (Anonymous for obvious reasons ;P)

No dislike, but disagree. Agree and disagree.

I like the idea some women suggested, that the huggers and dislikers names are visible

I’m afraid that’s way too complicated.

No, thank you.

Leave me to my fantasies that every hug is out of caring.

Seriously, I think if a post gets a bunch of dislikes, it will make a person feel bad.

Why can’t we get ride of the hugs n the first place?? If somebody has something nice to say, say it in a post.
In a sad post, where a hug would have been appropriate, a like would accomplish the same thing.

I highly dislike a dislike button. It would seriously turn me off from ever posting.

Would you feel the same about a disagree button?

Some have suggested a ❤ button that would mean both hug and like but be appropriate in all situations.

I'm not a programmer, but I know that there are similar forums that have public like/dislike, so it's not impossible.

That’s a great way to trick a passive aggressive hugger. It will always be interpreted as a like! I like- er agree!

How about a dislike button, but it costs money to use? Probably hard to get made, but it would be kind of cool.
