For family memories (not gifts), which do you think is better?

Books. Albums age and fall apart, photos fall out, and photos fade. Albums also take up a lot more room and have to be handled with greater care. I've replaced my childhood album at least three times as each one turned to dust. Finally I gave up in disgust and left the last crumbling album as is in a zippered folio. The only advantage of an album is that you can add or remove photos as you like.

I do both.
Albums are for random pictures. Books are for occasions ( vacation, simcha, etc).

Photo books... I just don't have the patience to order prints + empty album and then sort + organize them all together. To me it's easier to do it all digitally and have it delivered in a week or two.
