S/O So what's the right income bracket?

On the average income thread everyone said that 57K is too much for programs, too live to live.

Assuming additional income isn't feasible, how much less would someone need to make to get all the benefits (in NYC)?

You have the ability to adjust your bracket? that's pretty interesting!

If you want to know about the maximum you can make for Child Health Plus, it depends on family size and it's on their website. If you want to know for other programs you need to get that information for that particular program. Many have different guidelines but basically within the same parameters. More for health insurance, less for social services types.

And yes. I have a buisness. I can cut my hours, I can take less clients, or I can hire more help.

That's the pits with this system. Insurance costs are astronomical and many people that don't see themselves getting over that hump of the magic number to be able to afford health insurance plus life, would rather work less, make less money so that they can get health insurance.
