Does it make a difference what type of cake? (Heavy vs light)

I googled how I greased it like crazy let it cool for 15 min or so turned it over and wasn’t coming so I tried to loosen with a knife and it came out in 2!! Banging head At wits end At wits end

Smear the pan generously with margarine before adding batter. 15 minutes is still too soon to flip it. At least an hour or 2. Sorry about that! Punch

Obviously grease it #1
I also believe you should not let it cool first which makes it harder to come out, flip it straight out of the oven.
another tip is to place wet paper towel on top, helps to release

Enjoy your cake now that it's spoiled I hope you eat em all up Wink !!

I always flip when completely cool. If I flip when warm it comes out in 7! Confused

I use the spray stuff which has oil and flour together.

Also is your pan Teflon. That helps.

In my experience, you need to let the cake cool slightly but nit completely. Right out of the oven the cake is too soft and will fall apart. If you elevate the cake and let it sit upside down and thump it vigorously, it helps it release.

ETA - And definitely a Nordicware Bundt pan - for some reason I thought mine had some kind of nonstick interior. In any event, they are very heavy duty so they bake evenly which is critical for the best result.

If it is quite stuck I use a cheap plastic, disposable knife while still warm to loosen it. The knife bends and gets all the way down the curve of the pan to the bottom.
Also doesn't scratch your good bundt pan!

Use the oil spray that has flour in it.

Use a silicone bundt pan. Since I have it, it never fails the come out perfectly. Even when it's completely cool.

You spray a bundt pan generously with oil spray preferably the baking one after baking the bundt you let it cool on the counter 10 minutes then flip over leave it till it comes out of pan which is usually quickly

1. grease it. Any which way. Spray or brush.
2. Right out of the oven let it cool for maybe 5 minutes
3. Tilt the bundt pan almost to its side and bang it a bit onto the counter going all around getting the cake unstuck from the pan
4. let it sit fir another 15-20 min
5. bang it all around again.
6. Cover w a plate, lip over, rest on the counter and lift pan.
7. Let it cool completely, decorate and enjoy!

Works every time.
(My bundt pan isn't teflon coated)
Eta, Nordic Ware pans ae best. I tries others. Nothing like those.

I use the oil spray that has flour.

I flip it on to a plate straight out of the oven, and let it cool before I lift the pan to release the cake.

I wrote a thread like this a while back. The best advice I got was to buy a Nordicware Bundt pan. Since then I have no problems! I spray it, wait for it to cool, slide my knife around and then it pops right out.

I have the Nordic ware. Maybe that’s why it works perfectly even when cool? I thought it was me doing something right. Punch

Spray with Pam and then flour the pan. Make sure to get into all the crevices really well. Then shake out the excess. If making a dark cake, like chocolate, use cocoa instead of flour, after spraying with Pam.

I always knew that it needs to cool before flipping it. I let it cool completely and it easily slides out.
Same technique as extra credit.
If you think about it, the cake has a tougher exterior after an hour or two so it logically has a greater chance of keeping its status as a single entity...

1- Use a good pan. Cheaper pans aren’t always so good with getting a bundt cake out whole.

2- use baking spray - the one that says with flour. It’s a must. I wouldn’t even bake in a bundt pan if I didn’t have this spray. Spray very well paying attention to get the tube in the middle well greased.

3- wait till completely cool and gently turn over. Occasionally you will need a knife to slide under certain spots
