Does anyone know what I have to do, or what forms I need to fill out, if any, in order for my mother and mother-in-law to come to Israel for the birth of my baby in Feb, Be"H?

Also, does anyone know if its only parents who are allowed in for a birth, or if my husband's aunt can come as well?

Thanks!

The visa is for grandparents - your husbands aunt is unlikely to be allowed.

Chaim v'Chesed is a good place to start to get the details. I don't know exactly how it works. Rappel is the local expert. She recently had grandparents come in for her baby. When she comes on line she might be able to advise you. Knowing Israeli beauracracy, there is likely to be at least one form, and probably more.

When they book their tickets, don't forget to allow for two weeks quarrantine before the birth, and they have to demonstrate that they have a suitable place for quarrantine, as well. (Or go to a hotel)

As far as I know, it is thirty days before or after the expected due date/birth. Speak to Chaim v'Chesed. They might be able to push it for you a bit.

I know quite afew people going to Israel now without quarantine. I think you need a negative covid test and they test you when you arrive. You only need to be in quarantine for 48 hrs till they get the results. If it's negative, you're good to go, no quarantine necessary.

That is true, but the issue here is getting the permit to enter Israel in the first place, not whether or not quarrantine would be requited after entering.

Anyone who has written proof of a positve PCR test at least ten days before flying needs to do another test on entering the country and then they are in bidud until the results come through. There are facilities at Ben Gurion, and results are normally within 14 hours. If the second test is negative, they are allowed to leave bidud. Rapid tests do not help.

I asked my dr a paper that says I'm pregnant and when I'm due. My parents send a copy of that to the Israeli consulate, to request a permit to come to Israel.
THEY DO MAKE EXCEPTIONS SOMETIMES, SO WORTH ASKING EVEN IF YOU DON'T FIT INTO THE CATEGORY THAT WOULD BE ALLOWED.
For example, they gave my sister also permission to come to Israel, because my parents couldn't leave her alone.
They also sometimes give a permit after 30 days pp if you have a paper from a dr saying that you need help. (I did that because I wanted my mom to come again) The same for the another that said her dd had a miscarriage. She should ask her dr a paper, very possible you'll be able to come.
Good luck.

Oh and soon the families of people that made aliyah in the past 4 years, will be able to come to visit
