Hi, I would appreciate some movie recommendations to watch with my 15 year old dd.

It does not have to be Jewish, or have a Jewish theme, but no explicit scenes please. If it is subtle, or something like a peck on the cheek, that's ok. She is very mature and bright, so technically, it does not have to be a movie for kids/ teens; more like a family movie or one for adults minus themes/scenes that would be inappropriate.

I find that with all her intense school work, and few outlets now, that most things are closed, she can sometimes use a little entertainment. I am glad that she still wants to spend time with me, and not just with her friends. Thanks for your help!

Lol. What teenage girl wouldn’t want to watch a documentary about Dr. Ben Carson in her free time?

Musicals are the best - Sound of music, my fair lady, singin in the rain.
Princess diaries is a great one too. Freaky Friday and the parent trap.

IIRC, there's a scene where the teenager sees her father and stepmother having s*x in the shower and the stepmother tries to have a discussion about it with her.
Op, I suggest you do research on the suggestions here. Only you can gauge if it fits your criteria.

Haven't seen it, but his autobiography was very in demand in my high school library 20 years ago. Everyone read it and loved it. Even girls who weren't big readers.

Did you watch inside out yet? My 12 yo dd loved it and I'm super picky with "exposure". Try searching through commonsensemedia.com they're super machmir

Thanks so much for all of the recommendations! And of course, I will research before watching, as everyone has different standards and sensitivities. Also, sometimes we remember that a movie was overall good, but forget some details that may include inappropriate scenes.
