How do you dry a dress or top with a hood?
I hang to dry on a hanger and the hood doesn't dry properly because there isn't enough air and it then smells
Any tips?

I put it on the drying rack so the hood hangs down.

I tried that too... maybe a little better but still find the inside of the hood does smell.

Hang to dry and use a skirt hanger to separate the hood and keep it open to dry properly.

I have a fan blow at such clothes so it keeps the air circulating while it hangs to dry and then doesn’t smell...

I hang on a hanger with the hood facing the airy side. When the dress is dry, if I feel the hood isn't yet, I turn it inside out. Never had an issue.

Usually if it dries fast enough that doesn't happen. The hood will dry on one side and you turn t to the other side.
The problem you're describing happens when it takes longer to dry. When you hang up your laundry in your freezing damp basement and it's dry 3 days later.
Try taking it upstairs to a heated room where it will dry faster.
