What's the easiest way to store sugar for putting in coffee? Is there a jar that dispenses teaspoon at a time? Do people use sugar cubes? What have you found easiest, most efficient hygienec way to store sugar for coffee drinkers to access?

Sugar cubes with a nice pair of tongs is the classiest, and most hygienic way to go - assuming that people actually use the tongs and not their fingers.

There are jars that have special lids for dispensing sugar, or you can use a syrup pitcher. The options are endless. https://www.amazon.com/sugar-d.....enser

I make my own sugar syrup and keep it in a squeeze bottle. Its super convenient to squeeze a little into my coffee. And I drink a lot of iced coffee so this way I don’t have to worry about the sugar not dissolving properly.

Mix together one part water with one part any sweetener of your choice. Heat up the mixture in a sauce pan with low heat until all the sugar has dissolved and the liquid has thickened a bit (usually around 10 - 15 minutes). You can also use a 1:2 water to sugar ratio to get a richer syrup. The finished product can be stored at room temperature for a few weeks.

What's your application? Is this for an office, for serving company, for yourself or for your family at home? Can your people be trusted to use only clean dry spoons to measure out or are they likely to reuse a wet spoon or use a spoon that has remnants of instant coffee granules stuck to it?

My mom used a classic "sugar bowl" with a lid, but the lid just sat loosely on top. I prefer a lid that closes tight. I use a repurposed borsht bottle, but you could use a smaller jar, say a 2- or 4-ounce coffee jar with a screw-cap.
I dislike diner-style shakers as the sugar is exposed to air, humidity, dust and bugs. Some shaker jars have a single opening with a hinged metal flap that self-closes when the jar is upright and hangs open when the jar is tilted. Not bad, but you can still have a mess if someone knocks the thing over.

My repurposed jar is not elegant but I don't care. I don't use sugar in my coffee and dh just pours some out of the borsht bottle or uses a teaspoon. When I have company it's usually a fleishik meal so we're not having coffee, anyway.
If I wanted to be elegant I could use my Rosh Hashana honey jar, the lid of which has a cutout notch for the matching spoon. Companies selling useless pretty chochkes as "hostess gifts" make something similar with a notch for a sugar spoon.
I had a box of sugar cubes for years and never used them. They look elegant and in theory they're good but you'd need a small pair of tongs to handle them. You can't really scoop them up in a spoon even if you serve them in a double-handled china sugar bowl. And they take longer to dissolve than granulated sugar.
If I liked using cardboard canisters, which I don't, I'd repurpose a salt canister after covering it with Contact or maybe painting it with enamel paint. It has a perfect pouring spout that closes.
I've never seen anything that dispenses a teaspoon at a time and it would drive people nuts if it did. Some people like two or three spoons of sugar per cup and no one likes to pump and pump or shake and shake or invert and invert whatever the mechanism is.

Using it for my home some family members want something better than just sticking a spoon in jar but wasn’t sure if it exists. Thank you for this thorough response

As long as people can be trusted to use a clean, dry spoon, there's nothing better IMO. It's just sugar for coffee, not gold leaf to embellish a wedding cake. If the jar and spoon is too much trouble, buy restaurant-style single-serve packets.
