I am sending my son to school next year and want to know what others are paying. Thanks

Is that the official ‘kollel discount’ or you asked them if they can go lower than the price?

Yeshiva Nachlei Torah

Op, I'm pretty sure the more yeshivish schools are 4-6000 (with 4 being the discounted tuition) while the more balebatish schools are closer to 8000.

Ime, primary is cheaper if there's no English. ($4,500).
If there is English in primary, and starting in 1st grade the ticket price is minimum $6000. However, many schools will charge closer to $5000. However, many schools don't offer a specific and automatic discount for kollel families. If you can't pay, you speak to the business office.

Our boys school is 8500
I’ve been told that a lot of schools have been pushing to have 4500 or 5000 for kollel

Why am I paying $8000???
Wish I would’ve known that schools are half price when applying.

You get what you pay for. The more expensive schools generally have newer buildings, more extracurricular, and other things.

It depends on the school.
A school that a significant portion of the parent body is still learning/in Chinuch, and that's what the school appeals to, they are going to charge less. $4500-$5500 but give much fewer reductions for less than that.
That was the original Lakewood model 20 years ago. $3000/kid everyone pays.

A school who's parent body is compromised of way more working parents will charge more and give reductions as needed.

If you can't afford the $8000 you're paying, talk to the administrator. That may be able to help.

It also depends on how many children you have! We pay reduced tuition but our total tuition bill is over half of our total income!!!
For some ppl $4500 per child is a huge amount!

I’m paying $6500 per son for Orchos Chaim. That’s considered a “discount” for us since we have more than 1 son there. I have friends who are in the same yeshiva who are paying a lot more than I am (and there are also people paying a lot less there). Bh though because you get what you pay for and I feel like our tuition is going for good things!
