So you’re saying I can sell for not more than 450? Thanks!

Probably even less than that. 3 years is a lot of use.

Op I am looking to buy a new couch and I don't mind if it's used as long as it's in good condition. And regular leather. Not bonded (we have that now and it started peeling after a year. 5 years on and it looks terrible!)
Would you mind emailing a pic to me @ tzutzie@gmail.com ?
Thank you.

I just checked the pricing again cuz I found the invoice Smile I paid &1,050 and if you’d buy today it would be $1,300. I have 2 Couches to sell, and would list for $1,000 for both. Does that sound fair?

You can always try. Personally if I was looking to spend $1000 I would buy new.

No. But these are 3 years old. I'm sorry to inform you but used sofas aren't worth much. It's not like used furniture which can last for decades. I wouldn't pay more than 250.
Generally used items are worth 25% of value or less.

It is worth what someone will pay for it. Check your local Craigslist to get an idea of what people are asking in your location.

But in general upholstered furniture is very hard to sell and three years is a pretty long time in terms of the age of a sofa.

And $1000 for a leather sofa is not a high amount so it probably was not made to last decades. There is some furniture which is made really well - check out leather sofas from Stickley for example which are very expensive. Even slightly more expensive furniture from places like Restoration Hardware (e..g more than $1000 but less than Stickley prices) will generally not have many years left of wear - frames are not made so well; the stuffing and springs deteriorate and leather that isn't more than that price point starts to show signs of wear as well.

Also, I assume that a leather sofa is in a place where it has gotten a lot of hard use where people are using it every day versus a fancier style sofa which might be in the "formal" living room.
