Iso accurate oven thermometer because oven is off temperatur

My oven temperature is off. Do you have an accurate oven thermometer that tells the temperature of the oven? Does it stay in the oven all the time, if yes where? or do you just stick it in when you're baking something to check? How long is it safe for it to stay in the oven?
