What names would you never consider? Feel free to state why you feel negatively about the name. This is just for fun and don’t think too much into it.
I’ll start:
Yenta - if it isnt obvious enough, this name has a big association with being a gossiper and meddler
Faiga/Fayga - used to refer to someone as gay (he is a faygalah).
Chaya - one meaning is beautiful (life) but the other is pretty awful (wild animal). I’ll stick with Chava where a yud and vuv are considered interchangeable. Chava is a beautiful name, aim kol chai.
Trany - never heard of this name till recently but no, just no. Refers to someone who changes their gender.
Gittel- in Hebrew means a gett
Pessel - in Hebrew means an idol
I also don’t like Fraida. Reminds me of the word afraid.
For boys I don’t like Mechel, Shmerel, Berel but I don’t have a particular reason why.

Started to add names, but then reconsidered. Why should I make people who either have these names, or have named children, or will be compelled to name future children feel bad. I don't think anything I can come from this.

That’s your choice but this is just for fun. My name might show up too! And that’s fine. We all feel differently about names and I like hearing other perspectives.

I think this is very insensitive dear OP. You wrote plenty common names and I’m sure people around here either have them or have siblings or kids with some of those names. These are the names I’d never use:
Doggie
Hitler
Amelek
Eisav

I will list family names, and apologize to anyone who is offended....
Minya
Musha
Lesha
Feivel
Rasha

For this reason, our children are not specifically named after anyone.

Edit: actually, I don’t like most Yiddish names, and in general prefer Hebrew names, especially names that not everyone has....in my husbands family, there are 5 Esthers

Rasha! Wow never heard of that as a name. Must be pronounced with a long o sound. But still.

You mean short o sound. But yes, I've heard of Rasha with a short o (rhymes with Masha and Basha).

I have family that won’t use names from R’ Kanievsky list of banned names. Some of them are pretty common so I guess it goes by community. (Shira, Meira, Ariella, Daniella).

Can't Believe It short o, that’s right. It was probably Russian or some other Eastern European language to pronounce it that way. I can’t see someone calling their child by that today.

I actually have a niece who goes by that, and a cousin who is named it but goes by one of her other names. Yes, the family is Russian, I’m not sure where the name comes from.

I know two!!! It is common in certain sfardi circles I think
Also, why is this self explanatory? Do you mean because she was the mother of menashe? In that case, we should not use the name dovid either, as his own son tried to kill him, and another raped his daughter....

1. Agreed about it not being sensitive. Especially when some of your reasons are so arbitrary. Like Faiga means bird and has nothing to do with a faigala. 2. Extra credit I cannot stop laughing at your choice of “do not name” names
