Haha. Shower. I find it hardest when I have a little baby but otherwise basically if I can do it at night, great, otherwise a quick one in the morning and hope my older kids keep the little ones safe for an extra 5 minutes. Or I only get dressed after my husband brings them to school on really pressured mornings and shower then. But again, with a little baby, hard to rely on that.

When my kids were newborns, I showered when they napped. Once maternity leave is over, it’s nearly impossible. My baby is a year now, and I still can barely find time to shower. I do it cuz yuck, but only every other day, and it’s so so hard.

I have less than 6 kids, but I figured those who have at least 6, must be busier and may have time saving tips. Do you all work full time?

Yes it most certainly is! But you can cook, clean, and shower while you’re at your full time job. That wouldn’t fly in my workplace.

right. Unless you have a baby and toddler home all day and baby is tiny so can cry at any time of day or night, and toddler wakes early (when my 2 youngest were too young for playgroup). But bh I had dh or my older kids watch the baby as I took a speedy shower.

That IS hard. I get you because I dealt with that after I came home from a full time job. The newborn stage is murder. I definitely lack in the self-care department then! Laundry was never folded. Just fish through the clean clothes in the clean basket.
Kudos to you for being able to do it all day! I would go nuts after 2 hours!

4. I hired a sem girl to do hw with my kids. Every night. I bath baby and toddler during hw, as each kid is done they come up for a bath one by one. Then I can put them to bed.
Dh travels for work, I usually fly solo morning rush and evening mayhem. He’ll do the occasional far specialist appointment when needed.

Brilliant idea!!

I'm basically a SAHM with 6 kids and don't get as much done each day as I should. Well now half my kids are home because of covid in their classes but I also think it's because of the internet. Anyone else think that our houses would be better run without the distraction of the internet? I like going on at night after everyone is sleeping when I could be doing so much in the house. But I'm tired....

It’s not only the amount of kids....
One child with ADHD is like raising ten kids.
I know because I did both. (Oldest with adhd)

Practically speaking:
I email groceries and produce
I have a CL for laundry and cleaning.

Thank you for this.
And for this post last week

My child doesn't have a diagnosis, but I've really been just embracing letting EVERYTHING go and trying to be there for my child.

Who says we manage? We all do the best we can. Managing is over-rated. Lol
Yes I have cleaning help, but its not enough when BH I have 7 is a small space and the kids are slobs. (Yes, we are trying to buy a house with more space). They are told a million times to sit when they are eating. Chocolate chips can spill, and pistachio nuts, and cereal and cups of water and milk.... I do the best I can. My husband works overtime, so I can't rely on him for much. We use lots of papergoods and convience items. We do some easy suppers and some nicer ones. The laundry is going constantly. Lots after shabbos and Sunday and then about every other day. I like to get to the grocery store. Something has to give. No one is perfect.

I work 4 days a wk (not Friday) with 6 kids BH.
Dinners are planned on Sunday for the WK. Sunday is leftover and Thurs is pizza so it's only really 3 nights.
I bulk buy meat and chicken and have it delivered once a mth.
I have a grocery order delivered weekly. If we need a cple extras I can drop by on way to work or one of the kids can go after school and pick up. We don't often need

I don't dry clean at all except yt time (husband suits).
I wash 3 days a wk or as needed.
I don't run to Dr....most kids BH get better without antibiotics.
Dentist is once in summer and once around Pesach time. We go after school.
Optician is once a year as needed. We go on a Sunday
I keep extra bread and milk in freezer for when we run out bw deliveries.
I never ever cook one batchnof anythjng. Cakes... cookies....meatballs... shnitsel ...all doubled and trippeled so I always have extra in freezer
Cleaner comes on a Friday.
Bw that I sweep kitchen and spray bathroom as needed.
Husband washes up and cleans up after dinner.
Since covid I've been buying more paperware as kids r home and eating all day
I clothe shop twice a yr ...shoe checks too.

I have 7 kah. I order everything online. Rarely I have to go shopping to an actual store. If I need something desperately, my older children are happy to zoom to the store and back on their scooters. I leave some money on accounts in different stores so I don't have to have cash handy.
I try to buy in bulk so I'm not running out often. Soaps toothbrushes toothpastes flossers shampoos deodorants even plastic shower curtains shower puffs ziploc bags foil aluminum pans. And on and on. If everyone's toothbrushes are accidentally knocked into the bathtub, no problem, I have more in the closet. If someone suddenly runs out of deodorant, there's more waiting for this situation. I buy chicken by the case so it lasts a good few weeks. I'm mostly buying fresh fruits and vegetables each week.
I do one load of laundry a day so it's not overwhelming and that keeps it from piling up. My hamper has sections so every day I take one section and put it in the machine.
I don't freeze meals because I don't see the point. I'm not saving time, it takes the same amount of time to cook or bake now as it does later on. And we like our food fresh. I don't have luck freezing things well. Even when I make challah a few days before shabbos and triple wrap it still doesn't taste the same as fresh.
I don't have cleaning help but we all chip in. Mostly on Fridays, everyone cleans their rooms plus helps to clean one common area. Around Tuesdays I'll peek into the kids' rooms and tell them after school to take apart their hurricanes. Every night after dinner the robot vacuum makes its rounds while we clear the dinner table, wash down the heavy plastic on it, clean the high chair, wash the dishes and kitchen surfaces, and clean the toys off the floor and clear the couches. By morning it looks like we haven't cleaned so I do it again once everyone's in school.
I'm home with a toddler.
Around 2/3:00 every day I cook dinner- simple. A protein, a starch, and a vegetable. Sometimes I put up a big pot of soup early in the week and it lasts a few days for lunches or as an addition to supper.
I do all dr appointments except emergency ones because my husband is quicker than me to leave the house and get to the dr in half the time.
I use disposables all the time, not dishes. I have enough with washing pots, no thanks to anything more.
Oh I shower every night before bed. It's my number one priority. Husband watches the baby and I take a nice 20-30 minute quiet shower break.
