Whenever I see the fancy shabbos expensive plasticware on sale I grab a pack.

Now I can actually host guests. (Yes I have a dishwasher bH but it’s not big enough and you still have to dry and put everything away...)

Also I’m the mean host who asks her guests to strip the linens. I put them straight into the wash. Then they sit on the beds until I happen to have cleaning help who will put it on for me.

Mean host? I thought this was considered basic guest etiquette.

I would never strip linens unless asked to. And I would be quite annoyed if guests stripped mine.

I finally broke down and bought myself a juicer.

I tried squeezing the carrots by hand, but it was too hard on my arthritis. Very Happy

I wonder if this is Because you have cleaning help. I don’t. I very much when guest strip
The beds and I always do the same when I’m a guest. It’s what I was taught to do (by my mother who also doesn’t have cleaning help) I’d be really surprised if a guest of mine didn’t do this

Nope. If I didn’t have cleaning help, I would be even MORE annoyed.

Okay, okay. I mean, I usually do ask before I do it, but the answer is always yes.

Because that means I have to deal with messy linen everywhere until the cleaning lady comes.

I leave the stripped linen on the bed. No messy linen everywhere.

I always strip the beds when we are away.

This is gonna sound wierd but such a breeze.

thurs nights is usually easy supper. so pasta and cheese.. etc

Make the pasta, then I dont want to get the pan all gooey and dirty with the cheese. so I pour the pasta into a big food bag, add the cheese and shmush it all around with your hands until its well coated. then pour it on the plates!

voila! no pot to clean.

use gloves, gets really hot.

I outsource everything. My cleaning lady does all the cleaning, cooks dinner most days, makes Shabbos, helps me cook Yom tov, turns over my kitchen for Pesach, does all laundry and ironing, does the easy mending, brings in the cleaners, makes my grocery list and does half the grocery shopping. Amazon is my best friend. I often buy pre cut fruit. Trimmed cutlets. Skinned chicken. I’ll buy takeout sometimes. I use my dishwasher but still use mostly plastic dishes. On Yom tov or for Shabbos guests I buy “plastic china.” I hire coaches and personal trainers to do exercise and play sports with my kids. Basically, whatever I can to make life easier. Ironically, I bake my challah by hand. 😃

You must have lots and lots of money for all this!

I like cooking but I hate the meal planning so I signed up for prep and rally. I get a menu/shopping list and instructions for how to prep a bunch of components at the beginning of the week. Kitchen stays way cleaner also which is one less stress to deal with.

Nice. How do u sign up for this?
