My high school son is learning to bind books. He'd love more info regarding charging appropriately. How much do people usually pay for this service...what's the range? Does it depend on condition of Sefer? Age of person doing it etc? Also would you know how much people pay in the states versus in Israel?

I am a librarian in a jewish school. I pay 5$ a book. I think the guy gives me a slight discount because it's a school. Also I give him books in bulk. It is a little extra for a used book as opposed to brand new.

My teenage son does bookbinding. Charges $5 per sefer that he binds in yeshiva (mostly new). If he gets a request out of yeshiva to bind an old sefer that will take longer because of the condition, he will charge up to $10.
We are in the U.S., OOT.
