I know this sounds funny but I don’t believe tissues are good for the sewage system. We tear our own shabbos toilet paper and somehow my kids always manage to drop it everywhere throughout the week even when it is in its own bag. Any suggestions how to avoid this??

We put the ones we rip in small plastic storage bins and put them away after ripping more after Shabbos.

You are correct. We don’t use it for this reason. We use regular toilet paper that my husband precuts for shabbos

My sewage system is holding up fine from tissue usage all the time.
I don’t know anyone who cuts toilet paper. You can always buy cheap tissue boxes that are very thin.

There are definitely places that tissues would clog up the sewer system. We put in a plastic bag and then put it away after Shabbos.

It can and should be put away throughout the week.

Keep it in a rectangle plastic container with a cover. Or put it away during the week like another poster said.

TP is made to disintegrate in water, which is why its OK for plumbing. Tissues are not. They are made to be strong, and not disintegrate. Which is why they're bad for plumbing, they can get stuck.
Just put it away, out of kids' reach, during the week.

I keep it on top of the cupboard in a bag. We take out a bit at a time each shabbos because otherwise it just disappears.
