My 9 yr old daughter will be wearing a short length off white dress/(gown) to wedding
Shoes will be either gold or black.
What color tights to match?
I really dislike the opaque white tights but I feel black tights and black shoes are too harsh with a off white dress. Any ideas plz??

Personally I would put off white/white short socks with maybe a gold design on it.
If you specifically want tights then I once had off white with gold bows or go with a lacey look maybe.

Personally I would put socks as well but the weather is way too cold for socks !

If the wedding is indoor I wouldn't worry about it being too cold for socks, but I like the lace tights idea.

With black shoes I'd do black tights. It's a very sharp elegant look. I think white dress white tights and black shoes looks awful.
With gold shoes I'd do off white tights.

Thx all for the awesome responses.

I looked all over for off white tights that would match her dress to gold shoes and the only tights I saw were so opaque that it honestly ruined the whole look Sad

my idea was sheer tights and that would have looked so classy!

The black tights with (black shoes) looks so sharp but bc the dress is more sheer and a few thin layers of tule the black tights showed right thru the dress.

Pls help a sister out desperately !!!!

I personally don't like the look of dark tights with light colored dress. But light dress and light tights with black shoes is just nerdy. I'd aim for gold shoes and then something like this:

Honestly, if you can get to a Jewish hosiery store with the dress, they'll be able to help you match up something nice.

IMHO, short socks on a 9yo, at a simcha, is not very classy. Short socks are for toddlers, not bigger girls.

I like the cream colored lacy tights, or the ones with a gold sparkle to them. If you can see them in person, try to match the gold colors. Too bronze or too rose gold would look weird with regular gold shoes.

the open work pantyhose in the linen color is beautiful. Memoi makes a sheer gold tights but the background is nude and I’m not crazy about that look for young girls.
