We learn from the story of Chanuka that the rulership of Greece never ended. The belief and "science" and "secular knowledge" and the removal of "G-d" and the "Supernatural" still exists and many of the "Sciences" we know today are based in the Greek philosophers--Aristotle, Sophocles, Hippocrates, etc. Part of the message of Chanuka--is we didn't destroy the Greeks and Chanuka never truly ends.

It was post events of Chanuka that we had the rise of Christianity--which lead to the rise of the Romans--of which their flag emblazended the color of their initial patriarch Eisav--red, which lead to the fall of the Roman Empire. The Fall of the Roman Empire which lead to the break up of the empire which fast forward a few centuries we had the hotspots of Christianity and Catholocism (famously known for their Cardinals who wear red,) in England and Spain. The daughter of the wicked and despicable Ferdinand and Isabella was to wed the heir to the British throne--The Tudor dynasty symbolized by the Red rose. This union would have solidified Catholocism as a stronghold in the world Arthur dies soon after the marriage by a "sudden and mysterious illness that just seem to come on with no explanation" and his wife is without child. This set of the events that led to the falling apart of Cathlocism which eventually led to the Enlightenment which again removed religion and the rise of agnosticism, communism (which was agains the monarchies which represented "being chosen by G-d" and were heads of their religious houses and thus were purposefully secular organizations) which is symbolized as "Red"--Russian, China, etc.

Right now the United States is falling to the hands of people who ascribe to Socialist/Communist "China first" thinking.

Maoz Tzur we sing about the 4 galuos--Mitzrayim, Bavel, Pares u'madai (Purim) and Chanuka.
The final paragraph we say

We say Hashem invoke your wrath on this "evil nation"--doesn't specify which one, but "destroy the RED" to oblivion. Ever since the original Chanuka there has been a "tyranny of RED"

Hashem, its been long enough, Destroy THE RED, bring us home! In the words of our "president elect"--"on the wings of eagles." b'karov!

Want to add: מאי חנוכה clearly states Chanukah is about the spiritual/cultural victory that is symbolized with the miracle of the oil. This is everlasting and only grows stronger and brighter with every additional Jew that lights a menorah. Every Jew matters and the power of the individual cannot be understated. Do all you can to increase in maasim tovim. We're ready for Geulah.

I will add one more point brought to my attention that
The Republican party is also symbolized by the color "Red"

I was watching one of the "Stop the Steal" rallies and it started off quite innocuous and patriotic and "pro-American" and I don't know if the guy on the microphone was really meaning what he did, but he started saying that "This is a Christian country and we will keep it a Christian country" which drove home the point that this may be the "medina shel chessed" but we're not TRULY safe here. We are just "guests" and that we have to turn to the true "melech malchei hamelachim" and that everything happening now is just another "fall of the Roman empire", "fall of Tudor Dynasty", "Fall of the Romanov", it may signal the ending of "U.S. as a safe harbor" and hopefully our next stop will be our true home.
