So chanukah is coming and with it all the parties and special foods. But for people with food allergies it can be very stressful... can we all help each other out with recipes that dont contain certain foods for those with allergies? I am specifically looking for recipes for latkes and donuts without eggs. Any ideas?
Please post your requests as well!

3 potatoes- peeled, grated, and squeezed
1/2 cup flour
1 Tb oil
Half and onion, grated
Spices

Mush up and fry

For donuts, I’m just making baked donuts. But you can for sure find a recipe online. Most donut dough doesn’t require eggs.

I’m almost sure we did Latkas and donuts without eggs. Not sure re recipe - but the year I used an egg substitute didn’t come out good. (For the latkas) The year we just didn’t use eggs was better.
So far we haven’t made egg free hamantashen although I assume that can be done too

I did my regular latkes recipe with flax eggs one year and they were pretty good. Here's one: https://sarahsvegankitchen.com.....tkes/

For latkes, either I buy the frozen ones (usually don't have eggs) or I make latkenbatter without eggs, add oil, and bake individually in muffin pan so they each get crispy and kind of hold together. I think I've fried also but it's trickier.

For fried donuts I've made a recipe that only calls for one egg, and used egg replacer. They came out good. You can also use rhodes dinner rolls (frozen). Follow instructions on package to rise and then fry like usual donuts. Add whatever topping or filling you like.

I’m actually really finding it hard that almost all store made/ bakery made donuts are now made with soy flour. My son is allergic to soy flour and this only has become an issue the past few years. Yes, I can make my own donuts but he wants from the store and I can’t blame him. So so hard!!!

I always assumed the frozen ones had eggs...
And try mirifr recipe above. They fried beautifully and tasted like regular latkes
