We are thinking of doing something in Israel for family in about two years. I'm looking for a pretty setting somewhere either in Ashkelon or Jerusalem or wherever, preferably by the water if at all possible but cost is a definite issue as we are looking at at least 100 people. Any ideas or experience would be very welcome.Of course there's no water in Jerusalem, but there's so much beauty, I'm just wondering if things are less expensive outside.

For when is this?
Current guidelines allow a maximum of 10 people indoors, 20 people outdoors.
Is this for later this year?
Also, there isn't much water near Jerusalem, so of your 2 locations, I'd choose Ashkelon.

'At least 100 people' is not small.
Are you living in Israel, or Israeli citizens? At this point you will not be allowed into the country if not. People are pinning a lot of hope on the vaccine, but we have no idea when travel restrictions might be relaxed and at the moment a gathering of over 100 people, even outside, is completely illegal.
Water is anywhere along the coast, or in Tiveria. Jerusalem has a few artificial pools. There is one in the Botanic Gardens, and there is a restaurant which you might be able to hire for an event, when restaurants are allowed to open again. I've never checked this out, and I don't know their hashgacha.
What kind of event did you have in mind?
