So I'm trying to move out of my comfort zone a little and not wear just black/dark blue all the time.
I got some pastel coloured (one blue, one purple) and white shirts a while ago, but I can't think of what colours/patterns for skirts would work well with them and wouldn't look too loud or bright.

I agree with seafoam. Gray (especially heather gray) or black or denim. They match everything.

For winter, camel or olive green or grey. For summer, beige or denim or white.
If tops are solid, you can get a patterned skirt.
