looking for a no fail soft ww challah recipe. The one I've been using has gotten hard and crumbly lately.
Thanks!

I use this recipe by Overtime Cook. I use either all white whole wheat, or 7 c whole wheat to 2 c white flour.
The dough is pretty sticky, but I find that it ends up very light and delicious.

Have you tried this with silan instead of honey?

I have done agave a few times instead, not sure if that helps. With agave I add a bit more flour because it is more liquidy than honey.
I don’t see why silan wouldn’t work.

I do chabad site challa recipe or Gefen flour pack, and replace 2/3 of the flour with WW.
Need more water if use ww.

Excellent no fail.

No, I've only done it with honey. If you do make it with silan, let me know how it comes out!

I did make it with silan and it was delicious. The color is a bit darker though.

Also I came to ask- the dough is so so sticky. Is it more sticky because of the silan? I added extra flour and even so it was extremely hard to work with.

Otherwise I love this recipe.

Any suggestions?
