We are not vacation people. I haven't been in florida in over 30 years and only flew once in the last 17 years. We usually visit family during winter break, but we don't want to with covid this year.
Any suggestions of somewhere to go near the Midwest - inexpensive, relaxing, good for babies and teens. We looked at Gatlinburg online. It looks so much better in the spring/summer (but we don't have time to go then).
(We are yeshivish and wouldn't do great wolf lodge or anything of the like- no mixed waterparks even in coverups).
We need to plan ASAP. Thank you!

What sort of activities do you like to do? Are kosher restaurants and/or shuls criteria?

1. it's so hard to say in the cold weather! We're pretty flexible but it has to work for a big variety of ages and we do have a child in a stroller.
2. It's a plus, but not needed. We can bring our own food etc. It would be ok for she to daven at home if needed for the good of the family (to get away).

The Midwest is a huge area. Where are you coming from, and how long do you have for this trip? Chicago has all the Jewish amenities and lots of attractions for various ages. Minneapolis also has shuls, a few kosher restaurants, and the Mall of America. St. Louis has shuls and a kosher deli and the Arch plus the out-of-this-world City Museum.
If you want to be outdoors due to COVID, you may be cold, but the Wisconsin Dells and Michigan's Upper Peninsula are both great. Colorado has tons of outdoor options, and you can stock up on kosher food in Denver.
