What is considered Basic Computer Literacy that is going to be most versatile or that a person would likely need to be considered for most computer based jobs? Should I start with Excel? What would be after that?
I guess I am asking for a list of priority of importance. Or what comes first and then what would be more specialized to a specific field after that?
Does anyone know of a online live Excel/Computer Skills class? I would think because of corona it would be more likely to find or that I could even join one from a local jewish community center even if I don't live there?
Again looking for remote. In the area of Northern NJ, Monsey just for frame of reference.

Basic Excel courses should be pretty easy to find.
Maybe before enrolling in a live webinar, which can be hard to find and may cost money, you can go through some basic free material on Udacity or Khan Academy.
What sort of computer job are you looking to find? If you are talking about programming, you'll need more than Excel. But Excel is a handy and powerful tool.

What type of job are you looking for? If you're looking for a secretarial type job, then you'll most likely need Microsoft Word and Outlook. Good luck!

What do you mean by a "computer based job?"
A job in the computing field (programmer, SW engineer, developer, or database administrator, etc.)?
A job that requires you to use a computer for analysis (a financial analyst, etc.)?
A job that requires you to sit in front of a computer most of the day (a secretary, data input worker, etc.)?
I suggest you look at want ads for the types of jobs you want, and see what sort of skills and qualifications they expect from applicants, and pick your courses accordingly.

Start with MS Office (mainly Word, Excel and Outlook) and Google Drive.
Plenty of free or low cost online courses - try Udemy, Coursera, Alison.com etc.
Move on to a good CRM like Hubspot or Mailchimp.
Later on, some sort of bookkeeping or accounting software. Depends what you want to do.

I don't know what type of job exactly I just know that almost any computer job I see requires basic computer literacy to start with which Excel is considered part of and I never learned it. I find it harder to stay motivated and learn with recorded class vs. a live class. Northern NJ area. Or online better. If anyone has any more specific leads.
