What evaluations do you need to get placed in gan safa? Any recommendations for who to use? Have macabi, but can go private if it will save the wait.

OT (I think), Speech, hearing and vision test. I'm on Meuchedet and used the kupah. Start the process NOW, it takes a long time to get these ivchunim and then once they're done, you need to show that you've used the community services, so the child will have to go to speech therapy weekly for a while and then the therapist will write a report for the people who decide gan safa

I have had little kids in gan safa. I'm not showing the deadline to get the paperwork in but I know it's extremely soon.If they can't do it then you might not have any choice but to go private. Totally worth the effort It's really amazing for your child when he gets in! Or is she. I've had four out of my five kids in that system and only one that didn't go was because he was too old when we moved here.

I'm also on meuchedet. The gannenet told me to start with my pediatrician. He gave us hafnayot for vision and hearing tests and forms to fill out. When you have everything, you submit to hitpatchut hayeled through the kupah.
