Hi
I am looking for a therapist to work with my very high functioning young adult daughter. Someone who specialises is ASD young people would be ideal.

Stamford Hill is good but anywhere in London. Someone either frum or used to working with frum people. Or, are there and frum organisations in London for people on the spectrum?

No organizations that I know of.

I'm thinking of starting a support group for frum women/teens with ASD. Probably an email group or something.

Would your DD be interested in that?

I felt so alone as a teen. I still do as an adult. There's so much stigma is our communities.

I believe that Satmar Bikur Cholim have a database of qualified therapists and may well be able to recommend someone suitable.
There telephone number is: 020 800 7575.

Chartreuse not sure she would be. But a Web page with resources would be a great place to start!

Yellow - we are not chassidish. That's why I think a nw London therapist may be better. Or a very open minded person. My dd is a bit quirky.

She has not been formally diagnosed. Chartreuse do you have any idea how/where she can do that?

Satmar Bikur Cholim have therapists on their database from all walks of life. If you specifically want a therapist who is not from Stamford Hill, you can mention that to them.

No. I don't. I was diagnosed as a kid. First step I think would be talk to your main doctor and get an appointment with a phsyciatrist.
