No, and 19 isn't old enough to decide her future and her fertility. As her mother you should absolutely make the decision for her. She's low risk, the vax has no benefits for her, side effects are unknown. I'm incredulous that anyone is willing to be a Guinea pig.

Is she dating?

If she is, then she's old enough to decide her future clearly.

This idea that the vaccine has an effect on fertility is a complete MYTH.

It could make her gay!!!
Blowdry your throat with a hairdryer daily instead.
These are the real cures!!

But seriously. As a healthcare worker, every single one of my coworkers has taken the vaccine. Speak to someone who is actually knowledgeable, not people with degrees in Instagram and yentaing.

If a woman is old enough to vote, drive a car, get married, and join the army, then I think that she's old enough to decide for herself if she should get the vaccine or not.

Her body, her choice.

If its been more than 90 days since her infection, then she should be fine getting it if she wants it. Since you can be reinfected w/ covid, it’s better to get the vaccine in hopes of longer term immunity.

DH is 50 had it Purim time, now goes visiting treating & hugging patients

Only time will tell. You can't possibly know at this early juncture.

I am in favor of the vaccine and I am pretty sure it's safe. That being said, I won't be taking it until studies are published proving fertility is not affected.

They think that the vaccine is going to be used to control the population by taking away your fertility Can't Believe It

That's stupid. I never said that.

Most vaccines have loads of studies done before approval. This one did not.

It's not outrageous to want to wait for more studies to be done.

Fertility happens to be my main concern right now as I still want to have more children.

How l8ng do you plan to wait for proof? A year? Five years? Ten? Twenty?

You'll probably be done with having g children by then anyway.

Case by case
If I were in a vulnerable population age wise or other risks and had not had the virus then yes I would take it ASAP
Otherwise I would wait

Why would it take so long? They just need to follow the women who got the shot for a year or two and see if there is an uptick in fertility issues.

Most of the western world seems to be getting the shot. I'm sure there will be enough women to follow.

id Take it when a blood test shows I no longer have antibodies. I’d also make sure that all my cell counts are normal bec after an infection it can be out of whack.

Why are you being so snitty?

I fully vaccinate my whole family.

Wanting to wait out a brand new vaccine for a year or two doesn't make me crazy, unreasonable, anti vax, into conspiracy theories, and all that.

My family isn't even high risk. Why shouldn't we be cautious?

I didn’t call you any of those things. The truth is that some people will never take this vaccine because they will never be satisfied with the data. The truth is that some people on this site subscribe to conspiracy theories and really believe the vaccine is taking away our fertility.

It’s not right what you’re saying. Your tone is being snooty or whatever that other person called you. You’re the only one who brought up conspiracy theories about population control. I have a right to wait for more studies and testing within the next 5 years that shd do it for me. You go ahead and do your part don’t undermine me and others who are more cautious.
