Buy stretch wrap, something like this https://www.amazon.com/Duck-Br.....r=8-9
Really came in handy when we moved. We used it to wrap plastic bins that had toys to make sure lids wouldn't pop off during transport (instead of packing up each toy in boxes and then needing to replace in bins at the other end, on small sets of plastic drawers, so we could keep the things stored in there and not have to worry about drawers opening, cutlery trays- just wrap with all cutlery still inside, etc.

For stuff hanging in your closet. Instead of packing it up take a couple of garbage bags poke the hangers through the bottom of the trash bag and tie it closed on the opening

We moved twice in the last yr and a half.
Wrap heavy books and sefarim in saran wrap.
4-6 together.

For the Clothing in the closet they bring wardrobe boxes.

I Used dif. Color tape on the boxes for each room.

Good luck and enjoy the move!

Your local grocery store might sell you flat boxes .... Or you could collect them from friends and neighbors

When in doubt, throw it out. If you didn’t use something in the last year, you probably won’t use it in your new house either. Now is the time to purge.

Use the wrap for the big sefarim like shas. They will rip through any box you try unless you use heavy plastic containers or milk crates.
For regular sefarim buy bankers boxes as they are meant to hold heavy files and they are sturdy.

Local u-haul stores as well as storage rental places have boxes of all sizes for sale but I found that the boxes that cartons of milk were stored in was the best for books as well as wine boxes. See if the grocery stores can help.
