I will be getting the doona and want to get a carseat cover. What does the baby wear under it? Also, do you get a different coat for when they are not in the doona?

I don’t have a doona but I have other infant seats.
I put on a fleece jacket or jumpsuit for in the car seat.
When my babies are newborns they don’t have a second puffer coat, because I don’t live in Montreal and my babies doesn’t go out they often. Once they are a little
Bigger that I would take them out in the cold not by car, then yes I do have another coat for them.
But you can always get a good bundle me for your stroller and depending on where you live you may not need a puffer coat.

If you get a warm car seat cover then the baby should be good with just blankets on top of them no?
Those things are so insulating to the point of excessively hot.

I got the Skip Hop and it fits well and keeps baby warm without overheating. If we’re going on a walk, I’ll add a blanket under the cover.
