My kids are in strict policy covid-careful schools and we are being very careful. Can you throw out some good suggestions for a 10 day break where travel only allowed in N.Y./ Nj/pa area. Given the current high uptick of corona we are borrowing a house near Lakewood so maybe if possible ideas close-by.(but still willing to drive far for some day trips)

If you're comfortable, snow tubing in the Poconos is a great outing. Blue Mountain is our favorite, and it's usually not too crowded midweek (though yeshiva week may be different). The Philadelphia Zoo is outdoors and should be safe. If you're up to indoor activities, there's the Camden Aquarium and Franklin Institute.

I don't know. For any attraction you're interested in - indoors or outdoors - please check the website regarding special COVID hours (or if they're even open), and whether you need to pre-reserve a time slot to enter.

Trenton planetarium will allow you to rent it for $120 max 30 ppl. Maybe you can put together a group?
If the weather is nice you can walk on a boardwalk. This weekend we went to mantoloking park and walked across the bridge to the beach. As long as it’s sunny and above 40 it’s doable.
Jenkins boardwalk with arcades. Should be quiet mid day.
Manasquan environmental center - small, for young kids https://www.monmouthcountypark.....=2627
Cape may zoo if not too cold
What age kids?
