For Brown Rice I like to use instant
Comes out perfect every time

I often mix in some spices, cut up some pepper, onion etc. If I can be bothered, I saute them first (it is nicer), otherwise put it in all in a pan and bake in oven for approx 1 hour.
Mixing some honey in usually gives a nice flavor.
I love the recipe in the beis yaakov cookbook 2 for wild rice. You caramelize the onions and then mix in cranberries etc into the cooked rice. It tastes really good.

I actually made that and we didn't like it! It was too sweet for us

2 cups water to every 1 cup short grain rice (the one that comes out sticky and delicious) and 1 heaping tsp salt. Add some oil, fresh crushed garlic. Cover and bake 1.5 hours. Simple but so delicious.
