For those of you who have your newborn babies sleep with you in your room for however many months, what do you use for diaper changes? Like I have a proper diaper changing station for the baby room but for those first x amount of months when the baby is with me and needing to be changed in the middle of the night I’m trying to figure out what I need.

What setups or products have worked well for you for that?

I put a changing pad on my bed for the middle of the night diaper changes. I Put diapers, wipes etc in the basket under the bassinet.

It may sound nuts but I have a bunch of vinyl placemats that I keep around the house for changing. TMI Cheap, convenient and waterproof.

I change the baby on my bed during the night, I find it much easier when I'm half asleep.
I also have a shabbos lamp that I'll use to get a sliver of light

Sounds intriguing! Do you have a link? I’m definitely interested in a cheap, practical hack 😉

Sometimes I change right on my bed. Other times I'll use a reusable underpad like you have on your bed after giving birth.

This idea: https://www.saveritemedical.co.....w_wcB

You can buy on Amazon.

I keep a few diapers and a travel pack of wipes and a tube of diaper cream on the night table.

As the baby gets older and starts sleeping through more and more, I don't change during the night at all unless the diaper is dirty.

I actually bought them in the 99 cents store so I don't have a link, sorry! But you can probably find something at a discount store near you. Just some leather-look vinyl placemats.

I always just changed then on my bed. No special pad or equipment required. Just tuck the clean diaper underneath the dirty one before cleaning off the baby and the bed stays clean. Different story if it's a blowout, but for a regular change? This is how I always do it.

I like the pack and play in my room because it has an attached diaper changing table.

We also use a pack n play with an attached diaper changing pad. Once they outgrow that they get changed on a towel on my bed, if at all (by a month I only change dirtys overnight)

For regular diaper change I usually do straight on my bed, put clean pamper under dirty and all stays clean. For messier changes I use changing mat that came along with 1 of my diaper bags.

1 designated 1 drawer from my armour for all diaper equipment.

I'm getting out of bed anyway. And I don't want to turn on the light and wake DH, who's a terrible sleeper. I don't like changing diapers all over the house because then I wind up with diaper garbage everywhere. So I have one changing station upstairs and one downstairs. BH our house is small enough that it's manageable Smile.
