Considering going to Crystal Springs resort for a 2 day vacation. The spa/pools look really nice and seems best spa like /relaxing/change of scenery feeling within reasonable distance to NYC for a reasonable price.
I know pictures and ( even sometimes )reviews can be deceiving and before booking I'd love to hear from anyone who has had personal experience there what it was like.

Thanks in advance!

I was there 2 years ago and it was absolutely beautiful!!! The suites aren't brand new but the view certainly makes up for it. I'm hoping to go back sometime this winter...

Was anyone at Crystal springs recently in the winter? Is it interesting for kids?

Its very nice and the pools are fun, I wonder id they are open during covid.
The entire resort is very nice.
Besides Mountain Creek, there’s nothing to do in the area.
And there are no kosher food options but you can take a suite and it has a decent kitchenette.

Bumping this up. Considering doing a quick getaway there with my husband but the pools are really what's pulling me in that direction. Is there any way to manage that without mixed swimming or are they always packed?

You can try early in the morning or late at night, but there's never any guarantee. Another guest can come at any time and there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes midday is actually the best while everyone else is out doing activities.

I was there recently. There are always people in the pool and if you’re there during some peak time don’t expect it to be empty.
There are kids there at all hours.
Minerals is a little more adult and Grand Cascades is more kid friendly, but Grand Cascades I think is the one with the kitchens.
Must bring food with you.
Everything costs extra besides the pool complex.
