DS needs to get a year ahead for math. He's switching schools next year (going into 9th) and they're a year ahead of where he's up to.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good online math course? I know of Melamed Academy but not sure if there's something better out there. He's a good worker so I'm not worried about motivation, and I'm very good at math so I can definitely help him with any questions.
I'd rather it be self paced and not live

There is a series of Math Books called "Learn Math Fast".
I don't know anyone who has used them but it has good reviews online and is not expensive.
There are also free math lessons on Khan Academy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was really hoping for more of a coursework setup with exercises and test so that we could assess where he's holding. (I know ixl has that, but there's no instruction on ixl)
I'll look into all of these though, maybe a combo would work

Try outschool.com
They have all different kinds of classes, including math classes. Some of the math classes are on specific topics and some have a full year curriculum.

Ixl now has a " learn with example " option on top, which has a similar question with a solution

I have heard good things about conquer maths, but its a uk based program. There is also k12, I think you can pick just one subject. Also IXL.
Look online lots of options.
