I read every night to her before bed, it’s special bonding time.
We’re currently finishing the Shira books by Libby Lazewnik. (Shiras summer, Shiras new start and absolutely shira) She loves them! They’re not scary and she loves the storyline. Looking for something to continue with. Was thinking either regards from camp or bakers dozen type thing but I’m not sure they are age appropriate for her. Any other recommendations?

How about BY kid sisters?
Hard to find but frum libraries should have. Some are still being sold.

Regards from Camp is a fun one!
Kids Speak can also be interesting
Another vote for Baker's Dozen... Ahh... Have the fondest memories of them:)

You're getting all the classics.
When we read to kids, we can often go a little above their reading level; to read I'd recommend Kid Sisters, Madame Chamberlaine. The books you're reading are above most 2nd (or is she 1st?) graders reading levels and that's ok.
Here's one that's a nice read and for her level: The Achdus Club (Faigy Holt.)

Thank you all! Yes, it’s a little above her level but that’s fine. I explain what she doesn’t understand. It’s a great experience for both of us.
