H&M cotton knit tights for winter. they do hold up as far as I have noticed, and best quality that I have found so far for tights.

I buy Memoi cotton sweater tights and they hold up well. I do put those in the dryer (since they take forever to line dry), with no issues with the elastic.

If you like the microfiber tights instead of the knit cotton ones, buy the Butterfly microfiber Deluxe. It comes in a turquoise color package. It is not the same as the burgundy color 40 denier microfiber package.

If the tights are ripping at the crotch, then she is wearing a size too small.
If they are ripping at the toes, make sure nails are cut and tights are worn with shoes, no walking around in stocking feet.
