I’m noticing my potato kugel looking funny and remembering that I forgot to put in oil. Anything I can do now about it?

I did that once, and put half into the chulent and it was fine.

How about add the amount of oil you would have or perhaps less on top of it in the pan and slow bake it covered to be overnight kugel.
I keep a large full pan of water on a lower shelf im the oven below the kugel so the steam rising up to it throughout that time keeps the kugel moist and not dried out.
You can bake on 200 or 250 for up to 8 hours easily.

Thanks everybody. I caught it when it was half-baked, so I poured oil on top. Seems like it got baked into the kugel, as it looked fine after baking. Can’t tell you about the taste, though, because I lost my taste to covid.....
