B”H,we are going to have a family Shabbat where all of the siblings will be able to be together at the same time.
Reason is for a great Simcha, B”H

Looking for additional little touches to make it special
5 couples plus kids all ages, under 10yrs.

Food only in the kitchen and dining area. This I’m very strict about.

All advises welcomed

First, accept there may be food outside kitchen/ dining room even if you explain your rules. Hire additional help to clean after the party. Look away to keep shalom.

Buy a big family game, like ticket to ride or pandemic. New for you, new for them.

Put out picture albums that have pictures of the relatives or of family you share.

Have bentchers made up, it’s so much easier to follow zemirot when everyone is on the same page literally, and then you have a nice souvenir from the event.

I’m from OOT can you link, where to buy

I accept that there may be food other places,
What I was referring to is if I give out a guest bag, I don’t want to put chocolates or any food inside.
I was thinking of putting water bottles for the room, what else? But inexpensive

Also my kids have the same rule in their house

- Welcome signs made by your kids on all guest room doors.
- Print out labels to go on your water bottles with date and occasion.
- Small, Shabbos usable toys for kids (think playing cards, beach balls, rattles), also can be personalized
- Small photo albums with pics of all kids (ask each family to send pics, print copies for all, put in small books

Place cards at the table that get switched at every seuda so that everyone gets a chance to talk to everyone, sit next to saba and savta, etc

Sorry I live in Israel do can’t give a specific suggestion. To cut costs you can print out your own bentchers at home.

You can have a different family or two in charge of setting up and/or clearing for each meal. My MIL lets the girls choose fancy napkins and table decor when the grandkids and great grandkids come over, they love designing the table settings.

not sure on your budget but maybe cozy sorta matchy inexpensive socks/slippers?

our family does custom tshirts for big gathering (each family pays for their own shirts), but it is really special to be able to remember when we pull the shirt from the drawer for pjs/at-home lounging later on

I love the suggestions - it’s not that many of us

My DD made the kids matching personalized zip ups,
She also made personalized napkins with the guest of honor’s name

I don’t want to put Tylenol in case one of the little kids gets into the bag.

We are all in one house so if anyone needs anything they can just ask the hosting family
