Besides driving or car service, how do you get from mid 30s and Avenue K to NYC, or BP?

To Boro Park you can take the B9 city bus.
To NYC you can take the train or an express bus. But I'm not sure of the details off hand.

BP- bus, probably the B9 bus
To NYC, walk to the Q on J and 16th or M and 16th- you can transfer to whatever train you need at Atlantic-Barclays or at one of the stops in the city
the subway is fast and efficient usually

Walk to J and Bedford, take B6 or B11 towards Bensonhurst, get off at J and E 16 (or walk there, skipping waiting for the bus), switch to Q train to Manhattan.
Take B6/B11 to McDonald and Bay Pkwy/Ave I, respectively, switch to F train to Manhattan.
B44 on Nostrand Ave till Target/Brooklyn College, switch to 2,5 train to Manhattan.
Continue on B11 to Boro Park, it'll stop on 49th St on every Ave starting 18th.

Thats some loooooooooooong walk from mid 30s to East 16. Its 20 blocks....

Lol depends on the person. Some people like walking.
As I said, though, you can catch B6 and B11 on J and Bedford (if you're coming from ave K)

Depends where in BP the OP needs to go. The B9 goes down 60th street. The B11 goes down 50th street. But since the B9 goes down Ave L in the 30's that's why I suggested it.

Get a NYC bus, subway app. I don’t know which is best, but it also let’s you know when the next one is arriving.
