https://www.ulta.com/hydrating.....90255
This has hyaluronic acid and ceramides, which help repair the skin barrier.

This has sunscreen in it, which is the most important step of repairing the skin barrier.

I forgot what else I recommended on that thread, but I can give you a product breakdown, if you’d like!

Ok I found your original thread. This was my reply:
That’s a pretty decent start! Keep those in your routine.
You need a boost, though. And a SUNSCREEN HELLO!!!!
I would recommend hyaluronic acid serum and niacinamide serum.
HA- is a humectant that draws in moisture from its environment and keeps it in. The silicone in your moisturizer should work well with that.
Niacinamide is anti inflammatory that will help with redness and acne flare ups.

As for the actual routine, stay away from exfoliating. And only cleanse once a day, preferably at night. Throughout the day, your skin is in contact with irritants that are hanging out in the air, so you need to wash them away. Wash with lukewarm water. Then apply your serums. And then your moisturizer.
In the morning, wash with lukewarm water and no cleanser. And apply a sunscreen. Look for one where the active ingredient is either zinc or titanium dioxide. No other active ingredients should be listed

The cetaphil cleanser is great. Now I’m thinking maybe you should switch moisturizers. Try the cerave one that I listed.
If you have super irritable skin, someone started a thread asking about rosacea where I listed a simple 3 step routine. It includes this magical ingredient called Rosacare. Check it out.
With rosacea, you need to keep it as simple and irritant free as possible, or it’s going to be counterproductive.

Here’s my reply from the rosacea thread in women’s health forum

You need as few steps as possible.
1- cleanser. There are a lot of irritants in the air, and you need to wash them off at the end of the day so that they don’t settle in and cause your skin to react. Vanicream facial cleanser is super gentle and free of common irritants and allergens.

2- moisturizer to soothe dryness and to prevent transepidermal water loss. You also need to repair your skin barrier because it does get damaged often. Try to find one with a silicone base, so that it’s lightweight and locks in moisture. Niacinamide is also a magical ingnredient that is gentle and anti inflammatory.
Procure rosacare has such amazing ingredients that are targeted to help sooth and moisturize rosacea. That’s what I tried linking before! http://www.walmart.com/ip/PROc.....76035 It has licorice root in it, which is a very common ingredient across rosacea products because it helps with redness. It also has niacinamides and ceramides in it to help with inflammation and hydration. Annnnd it has chromium color correction, which is greenish and cancels out redness (which is awesome from a cosmetic perspective). Apply after cleanser at night, and apply in the a.m. before sunscreen, just allow it to dry first.
3- sunscreen. 365 days a year, even if you live in Alaska and it’s dark for 24 hours in December. UV rays damage your skin barrier, and can cause severe sensitivity, irritability, and inflammation. Find one where the active ingredient is zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. The problem with that is the beautiful white cast it leaves Smile so you can put a bb cream or cc cream on top to camouflage it.

I opened a thread abt a "toner". Try searching for toner. There's link that a poster studying skin care posted for a cleanser.

So here's my question:
With all these serums and moisturizers, is there a problem with them mixing on my skin?
For example:
If I use merula oil, does putting a moisturizer over it cause reactions?

Merula oil on its own is not a moisturizer. It’s an ingredient that’s popular in Drunk Elephant products (fun fact: that’s why it’s called Drunk Elephant! Merula oil is from a fruit that when fermented would get elephants drunk). It’s not enough on its own, though, so if it’s going to be used at all it’s going to need a moisturizer paired with it.
