Hi MAUs,
Have another question, maybe a bit tougher though:
Which color Lauren Mercier foundation should I use for contouring, if I use bisque for my whole face?
THANK YOU!

Contour colors are typically cooler, almost gray. Most foundation colors are too yellow or pink for contouring. I would get a specific contour product if you really want to contour.

You have to be really careful when you contour. The stakes are higher than with other makeup products. Even professional makeup artists sometimes get it wrong. It very often ends up just looking like a dirty face. (It may show up better in photos than IRL.)

Yeah some of it does make a big difference and is quite literally junk but a lot of the stuff that is sold at a higher price point has extras that do not affect the quality of the product (gilded in gold, very large mirrors, heavy packaging) and is just for fun.

Yes, and some drugstore products have beautiful, high quality packaging.

From the drugstore? Wet n wild and NYX both make excellent contour sticks.

All I can say is my makeup (besides eyeshadow - which is waterproof from Sephora) is from drugstore and people always ask me on Shabbos/yomtov how my makeup still looks perfect.

Can anyone recommend a drugstore highlighting concealer?
Not for concealing as much as to brighten?
I want that glowy light look around my eyes and cheeks.
And something that won’t look dry on the face.

I think some people have skin that holds makeup, more than others.
My DD can still have some of her makeup on, on a 2nd day of Y"T. And my makeup is all gone by Shabbos morning.

Thank you, I use that but it always looks so drying and patchy on my skin.
Actually, All concealers that I try, look that way on my skin.

Dry skin "holds more makeup", whereas skin oils break it down.

On the other hand, dry skin can make it look cakey.

Going back to this old thread... I would love to try some of these products. My question is how to find the right shade of the item?
With makeup from departments stores they help me...
I would like to try the Milani baked blush, Elf Concealer and lipstick.
I am very pale with blue/pink undertones. If the makeup is off it looks like purim makeup.. I also like when the makeup is natural.
Any help appreciated!
