Could this cause problems with obtaining licensure even if the program is accredited? Has anybody done this?

If it's accredited it should be fine but better to check because it can. Social work licenses don't transfer fluidly in all states. They have different requirements and it can get complicated. It doesn't mean it won't work but you can just check online or call them to make sure.
