I need to provide proof my baby is a US citizen and they didn't accept a birth certificate. What else can I provide?? anyone know?

I don’t have passport yet, he’s a newborn. None of the options are things I would have for a newborn.

Is a SS card ok? My last baby we got hers like 2-3 weeks after birth

It’s not one of the options and there’s a separate place where they ask for that. But I will try because that’s all I have! Why isn’t a birth certificate proof of citizenship status?

A US birth certificate is proof of citizenship (everyone born in the US is a citizen). Can you check with them?

I did. They said it’s not good, need a transcript from the hospital. I just checked the account though and it looks like the ss card did it. Thanks all!
